Mr. Krug is general partner and principal engineer for McKennyKrug Structural and Civil Engineers of Citrus Heights/Sacramento. Current responsibilities include structural analysis, design and plan development, construction inspection and structural design consulting work for architects, contractors and owners. Also included is building code interpretation and review of structural, life safety and disabled access aspects of the Uniform and California Building Code regulations for both private and public agencies. Past experience also includes construction management and field superintending.

Prior to forming McKennyKrug, Mr. Krug served as manager and Vice President of BSI Consultant's Northern California Building Safety Division. Responsible for all aspects of technical and managerial duties developing BSI's Building Safety division in Northern California, specific responsibilities included architectural and structural building plan review in addition to staff development and corporate business coordination.

Mr. Krug's experience in building department code enforcement procedure and building plan review began in 1985 as a staff associate engineer with the Sacramento County Building Inspection Division. During this time he was responsible for commercial and large residential plan review, staff technical training and department policy organization. His work on writing and implementing Sacramento County's special inspection policy in 1986 has led to more consistent special inspection procedures and has become a model for jurisdictions throughout the Sacramento Valley and Northern California region.

Mr. Krug served the private sector engineering design and construction industry starting as a structural design engineer for the Bechtel Corporation in 1980. As an engineer with Bechtel's Civil/Structural project design team, he was responsible for designing and field implementing designs for large industrial power generation facilities. Other duties included Civil/Structural group supervisor and contract field project manager on the design and construction of a five-story office/technical laboratory building for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District.

Mr. Krug also worked as a construction superintendent and field engineer for Tecon Pacific (now Clark-Pacific), a West Sacramento structural and architectural precast firm. Responsible for product quality, transportation and field installation, Mr. Krug superintended precast structures ranging from complete superstructure systems for multi-story senior citizen's facilities in Los Angeles to GFRC architectural exterior wall panel systems for corporate research facilities in Pinole, CA.
